What is GOODness Grows?
We believe goodness grows, and that one good deed leads to another. Our goal is to leave “no GOOD left undone,” because kindness matters. GOODness Grows is a week-long event each April. Each day, the community is challenged with GOODness missions to carry out. Please join us in acts of goodness to spread kindness and joy across Summit County and beyond.
Who Participates?
The event originated from Summit County Youth (SCY). A program that creates a safe place for students to #beKNOWN, #beLOVED, and #BElong. Students from elementary through high school will be taking part in GOODness missions, and we want to include all of Summit County to do the same. Everyone can help GOODness grow.
Our Challenge to You!
Take part in 10 acts of GOODness this week, and see how kindness and goodness spread in your heart and the hearts of those around you. Watch and see how goodness grows...

- Deliver free breakfast/donuts & juice
- Write some affirmations and personally deliver
- Give compliments all day long, let that be your first sentence to everyone
- Bake some GOODies and deliver them
- Decorate someone's door or wall somehow ("post-its" with pics or fun words)
- Babysit for free
- Deliver someone their favorite drink
- Handwrite a letter and mail it to someone special

- Offer to take someone’s dog for a walk
- Shovel a neighbor’s walk way
- Write a Thank You card to a friend or teacher and give it to them
- Switch to a charity search engine
- Make cookies or dinner for a neighbor or friend
- Volunteer for a local non-profit
- Write a kind note on a book mark and leave it in a library book
- Donate blood
- Help someone who looks lost with directions
